Ordering

Where is my order?

Except for drinking horns listed on the Drinking Horns page, every item we have is hand crafted to order, meaning we srat crafting your order after payment clears.  The crafting process takes a little bit of time, depending on your order- blowing horns generally take 2-3 weeks, and drinking horns generally take from 4-6 weeks.

Occasionally we may experience a delay due to a complex design, raw horns not arriving on time, or many hours spent answering emails asking about the status of an order.

 

Can I request a specific color of horn?

Yes!  Requesting a specific color may make your order take longer, depending on what horns we have on hand.  We’ll let you know.

How do custom orders work?

When you have an idea for a horn design, send us an email, and we’ll respond with a quote for the horn based on our Custom Order Information (located under Custom Orders).  Sketches will eithe rbe included in the quote email or follow shortly after.  Once you are satisfied with the sketches, payment in part or full is require dbefore we can begin custom work.

 

Shipping

Where is my tracking number?

All orders shipped through UPS include a tracking number, and all orders over $30 shipped via Post include a tracking number.

You should recieve a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number when your order is shipped.  The Paypal transaction is also updated with the tracking number and may send you an additional confirmation email.

 

What shipping options do I have?

We ship through both UPS and the US Post Office.  Both services offer standard and expedited shipping.

International orders will ship through the US Post Office to avoid additional import and handling fees.  The buyer is responsible for paying any duties or taxes for importing a drinking horn into their country.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping times vary depending on whether you selected UPS or Post Office shipping at checkout.  Times for the most popular shipping options are below:

Priority mail- 2-5 days
Expedited- 2 days
UPS
Ground- 2-5 days
2 day shipping- 2 days

 

Will you ship to my country?

We will happily ship horns all over the world.  As finished craft items, they usually can travel to anywhere.  Beware, international shipping can get expensive, and the average horn weighs between 2 and 4 pounds.  International customers are responsible for paying any duties or taxes for importing a drinking horn.

 

Returns/ Exchanges

Can I return my order?

We accept returns on non-custom orders, if the order is returned within 7 days of receipt.  Return shipping is paid by the buyer.

Can I exchange my horn?

Yes, we accept exchanges on non-customized orders within 7 days of recieving your order.  Each order can be exchanged once.

What do I do if my order is damaged in shipping?

Contact us at CustomDrinkingHorns@gmail.com. We may ask for a picture of the damage to see if it is repairable, or if the order should be replaced.

 

Artwork

I made a design, can you carve it on to a horn for me?

Absolutely!  We will happily carve original artwork onto a custom drinking horn.

We also take artistic integrity very seriously.  If you provide us with a design to carve onto a horn, please don’t be offended if we ask for confirmation that the work is yours or that permission was given for the art to be used.
A couple of our designs have been used without permission, and it’s not only rude, it sucks and made us cry.  We don’t want to do that to other artists.

If the image is in the public domain, our answer is usually heck yes!

 

 

Miscellaneous

Where are you located?

We’re located in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.

Additionally, we frequently travel to festivals.  Festival announcements will be made on the website and via our newsletter.

 

Why haven’t you answered my email?

We check our email semi-regularly during business hours (10-5 CST), though this also depends on how many orders we are working on, and how many emails have piled up in the interim time.
