In short, Custom Drinking Horns is an outlet for doing what I love- studying Viking art and culture.
I occasionally have help from my partner Val, though I do most of the carving myself. In addition to Custom Drinking Horns, I work the sunrise shift at UPS, attend college full time, and work in my college’s ceramics studio where I study pottery, bronze casting, woodworking, and other cool stuff. We drive thousands of miles across the country every summer in an attempt to sell horns and earn enough money to eat.
Val also attends college full time and teaches guitar and bass.
So the long of it is that I’m doing all this mostly by myself. There isn’t a fancy call center or a factory full of underpaid workers in China pumping out inferior products. It’s why orders get delayed, I don’t always get to answer messages the same day, and working in a basement with nine kilns kills any phone reception I may have gotten.
